The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) was passed in 2022, and dedicates a large amount of money toward incentivizing homeowners to improve the efficiency of their homes. There are multiple ways for homeowners to save, and Electrify Hy Home can help you navigate the process from beginning to end.
What is the High-Efficiency Electric Home Rebate Act (HEEHRA)?
HEEHRA is the High-Efficiency Electric Home Rebate Act is one of the rebate programs created through IRA. This program will cover a percentage of the cost for low- and moderate-income homeowners to replace their old electric resistance and gas appliances with new energy efficient ones.
In California, Phase 1 of HEEHRA will focus on ENERGY STAR qualified heat pumps that replace existing gas heating systems. A second future phase of funding for HEEHRA is expected to offer incentives for additional upgrades

1. Verify your income
You may qualify for Tier 1 or Tier 2 depending on your income level:
- Tier 1: You can receive up to $8,000 if your income is below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI).
- Tier 2: You can receive up to $4,000 if your income is between 80% and 150% of the Area Median Income (AMI).
