One of the reasons we started Electrify My Home was out of concern for the environmental health of California, and the overall health of Californians. As we all continue to adapt and persevere through the unprecedented outbreak of COVID-19, we are keeping that concern for the health and safety of our friends, family, and neighbors at the forefront.
We are, of course, keeping our eyes and ears on the daily recommendations from local and federal Centers for Disease Control and the World Health Organization. Here is how we are integrating these recommendations and precautions into our everyday process.
No-Visit Energy Audits
We are still offering No-Visit Energy Audits so that homeowners can safely begin to plan for their conversion to all electric appliances. This over-the-phone energy audit will give us an idea of what equipment your home may require, and help us lay out a customized plan for electrification. This includes heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, and more.
Home Safety: On-Site Measures
For situations that will require our team to be on-site, we are providing our technicians with every sanitization measure possible to reduce the spread of the virus, including:
- PPE (personal protective equipment): Masks and gloves
- Disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizer, and other cleaning products on all surfaces
- Taping around doors and windows to prevent any airborne particulates from traveling to other parts of the home
Stay Comfortable, Stay Safe
Of course we want to get to work as soon as possible helping you replace your gas furnace, switch to heat pumps, and cook using your new induction stove. But we are not willing to risk the safety of our fellow Californians, or the Electrify My Home staff. By doing our part as a community, we can help flatten the curve for our local medical staff, and maybe even save some lives. If we can safely begin work on your home, we will! But rest assured, we will make sure your electrification needs are met as soon as possible.
